In April 2005, the law steady of Callahan, McCune and Willis charged a class actiaon law suit against Jamster! To be half of a San Diego father and his ten-year-old daughter. The  lawsuit says that Jamster! scammed cellular telephone customers through and through use of fallacious and misleading advertisements. The plaintiffs indicate that ads in question extended one exempt ring tone to cell phone customers who reacted to ad via text message, only failing to inform users that they would be subscribed to a monthly service. As  of March 2007 the lawsuit is pending.

At July 20, 2005, the Utility Consumers’ ActiNetwork (UCAN), a non-profit California consumer advocacy organization, filed away a complaint with the California Public Utilities Commissi(CPUC) against Cingular Wireless for the unauthorised billing of non-communications kindred charges, such as ring tones. UCAN  titled that Cingular billed its customers for Jamster! and other like ring tone services without supplying customers with the notice, opt-in, and proof of authorization requirements necessary for so much charges. UCAN  farther supercharged Cingular with offending numerous CPUC requirements away systematically telling customers with questions close to non-communications service saddles along their wireless phone bill that Cingular gets no more responsibility and cannot serve customers with their inquiries.
